Cluster Sofia Knowledge City with its representative Adelina Hristova attended the Connected World Summit in London during 22-23 October 2019. The event hosted 150 industry leaders and keynote speakers, as well as companies such as Bosch, Microsoft, Cisco, EQ-3, Devolo, EY, Infosys, Three, Ericsson, Avanade and many more. The topics discussed were focused on key technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G and Connectivity, Cyber Security, Data Management and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and themes like Smart Cities, Smart Homes, Utilities and Environment, Smart Mobility, etc.
The two days’ event, which included a conference, exhibition and networking opportunities showcased digital transformation strategies of cities and how technological innovation can bring sustainable solutions for urban areas while tackling climate change. For more information about the event, click here:

The Cluster member Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University (FMI - Sofia University) presented its project GATE in the auditorium of Sofia University on October 7, 2019. FMI is a member of the Cluster Sofia Knowledge City from 2018. According to Mrs. Maria Gabriel, EC Commissioner, this project will show the potential and traditions of Bulgaria in this field and will be pushing that this potential is transformed into concrete results and opportunities. "Only by working together we can achieve results and GATE is just that."

The Cluster Sofia Knowledge City will participate in a meeting - discussion between representatives of European cities, including Sofia, Cluj, Paris, Amsterdam, Warsaw, Hamburg, Reggio Emilia Romagna, and others, to discuss the challenges of developing a future European city. The meeting will be held on September 24-25, 2019 in Brussels. Prof. Rumen Nikolov, who is Deputy Chairman of the Board, will participate in the discussion on behalf of the Cluster Sofia Knowledge City of Knowledge.
