A project under Horizon 2020 will start soon

The Cluster Sofia Knowledge City has signed a contract for the implementation of the MediaMotorEurope (MME) project, funded under Horizon 2020 - H2020-ICT-2019-2 in a consortium with European partners. The value of the project is EUR 1.952 million and its implementation will start from January 1, 2020, and continue until January 31, 2022. MME will stimulate the development of solutions for the media industry needed to tackle such challenges as misinformation, accessibility, user interfaces, and data usage. A group of European high-tech innovative companies will be assisted in the development and implementation of media solutions for the future.

GATE Project was presented

The Cluster member Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University (FMI - Sofia University) presented its project GATE in the auditorium of Sofia University on October 7, 2019. FMI is a member of the Cluster Sofia Knowledge City since 2018.

According to Mrs. Maria Gabriel, EC Commissioner, this project will show the potential and traditions of Bulgaria in this field and will be pushing that this potential is transformed into concrete results and opportunities.

At the Connected World in London

Cluster Sofia Knowledge City with its representative Adelina Hristova attended the Connected World Summit in London during 22-23 October 2019. The event hosted 150 industry leaders and keynote speakers, as well as companies such as Bosch, Microsoft, Cisco, EQ-3, Devolo, EY, Infosys, Three, Ericsson, Avanade and many more. 

The topics discussed were focused on key technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G and Connectivity, Cyber Security, Data Management and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and themes like Smart Cities, Smart Homes, Utilities and Environment, Smart Mobility, etc.

seeSUSTAINtec –  a new platform for eco and smart technologies

Via Expo, a member of Cluster Sofia Knowledge City announces seeSUSTAINtec - an exhibition and forum for sustainable technologies. It will be held from 7 to 9 April 2020 in Sofia, Bulgaria, and will be among the few showcasing platforms in South-East Europe for environmentally-friendly and cost-effective innovations. With a background of over 15 years, seeSUSTAINtec successfully combines the crucial topics of intelligent cities, energy efficiency & renewables, waste management & recycling, air quality.
