Council on Ethics and Standards

The Council on Ethics and Standards in Scientific Research (CESSR) was established at the Sofia City of Knowledge Cluster on 21.02.2025 by a Decision of the Management Board. Its creation is in response to the demand for independent opinions and assessments of ethical compliance and compliance with standards in scientific research activities carried out under national and international projects and initiatives in which the cluster organization and/or its members participate. Knowledge and compliance with ethical norms and standards are necessary to maintain the integrity and credibility of scientific research. The vocation of the council is to ensure that research is conducted in a manner that is safe, fair and beneficial to society. The work of such a council will be essential for building trust in the project and research activities of the cluster and its members and partners.

CESSR is an advisory and expert body consisting of expert groups in certain fields of knowledge. It invites specialists and researchers who are distinguished by high achievements in theory and practice and impeccable professional integrity.

Currently, the following expert groups on ethics and standards operate at the of Cluster Sofia Knowledge City:
