Between 18 and 19 November 2025, Cluster Sofia Knowledge City took part in the first CO.FUN Lab, organized under the INVESTech - Innovation Vocational Excellence in Tech project. This project is co-financed by the Erasmus+ program and is aimed at creating a network of COVEs in 5 countries in Europe.
The INVESTech partnership gathered in Piraeus, Greece, for an intensive two-day practical workshop dedicated to shaping ideas for joint European projects and building capacity in EU funding programs. After two online trainings in October, the partners met face-to-face to transform their concept notes into mature, well-structured proposals under the Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe programs.
The implementation of the INVESTech Project – Innovation, Vocational Excellence and Sustainability in Tech, in which Cluster Sofia Knowledge City is a partner, has entered a new, more practical phase.
For three days from October 19 to 21, 2025, the Technological School Electronic Systems at Technical University Sofia (TUES), also a partner in the project, hosted the first edition of the international hackathon of INVESTech (Skills Hackathon 2025), dedicated to tech solutions for a sustainable and smart future.
The event was attended by 65 students from 10 schools in 3 countries - Bulgaria, Slovakia and Greece, who formed 13 teams to jointly develop, present and competitively defend their projects for innovative prototypes with real social and environmental impact.
The representatives of the Cluster Sofia Knowledge City Milena Koleva and Antoaneta Kirova will take part in the international conference “Discuss Learning 2025” in Athens, Greece. It is organized by our partners IDEC within the framework of the INVESTech project and will be held on November 20, 2025 in Athens.
The thematic focus of the conference is “Vocational Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Climate Change”.
The conference will be a place for meetings and discussions between participants interested in vocational education and training, where good practices, innovative approaches and strategies for the development and strengthening of VET in Europe will be discussed.
