INVESTech: Advancing Vocational Education for a Digital Age
Welcome to the INVESTech project, an ambitious initiative aimed at supporting the establishment and development of a transnational cooperation platform of Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) in the field of ICT. Our project spans across five European countries: Slovakia, Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Lithuania.
INVESTech seeks to harness the innovation potential of VET in the participating countries. By fostering collaboration between education, the labour market, and various stakeholders, we aim to promote skills development, innovative technology adoption, green transition, and social inclusion.
Through this collaborative effort, we envision VET playing a central role in driving innovation, supporting green transition, and fostering social inclusion. In today's rapidly evolving world, effective project management is paramount in achieving our goals. The INVESTech project recognizes the pivotal role of project management in orchestrating diverse stakeholders, managing resources, and ensuring the successful implementation of our objectives.
The project endeavours to establish CoVEs in five European regions, incorporating the Quintuple Innovation Helix (Q2IH) Framework. This framework emphasizes partnerships among academia, industry, the public sector, civil society, and other key stakeholders. By promoting collaboration among diverse stakeholders, we aim to align CoVEs with regional smart specialization strategies, focusing on sustainable development and innovation. At the heart of INVESTech lies a bottom-up approach to vocational excellence, engaging a wide range of stakeholders at the regional level. Leveraging existing skills ecosystems and fostering new ones, we aim to enable CoVEs to adapt swiftly to evolving economic and social needs. Moreover, INVESTech invests in establishing a transnational cooperation platform for CoVEs in the ICT sector, elevating efforts from regional to European levels. By introducing an "European dimension" to Vocational Excellence, we aim to support the implementation of EU VET policies and actions.
Through capacity-building initiatives, transnational collaboration, and synergy creation with EU-wide networks, INVESTech seeks to enhance the internationalization of VET.
INVESTech's scope extends across EQF levels 4-7, encompassing various educational institutions and qualifications. We aim to provide inclusive targeted training programs, online courses, and specialized opportunities to enhance the skills and employability of VET students and professionals across different levels.
Join us on this journey towards promoting vocational excellence, fostering innovation, and empowering individuals in the ICT sector. Together, we can realize the transformative potential of VET and contribute to a more prosperous and inclusive future. So, we're revolutionizing vocational education across Europe to meet modern workforce demands. Here's what we're going to achieve:
- International Portal: We will prepare a dynamic virtual space for collaboration among CoVEs stakeholders, enhancing global connectivity.
- Microcredentials in Advanced Technologies: We are developing a series of microcredentials tailored to industry needs and labor market demands, ensuring our learners are well-prepared for future challenges.
- Online Courses: A comprehensive set of online courses in cutting-edge technologies is being rolled out. These courses are designed to provide learners with essential knowledge and skills, enhancing their professional growth.
- ICT Bootcamps: Intensive training programs and hands-on experiences in specific ICT areas will be offered, significantly enhancing participants' practical skills and readiness for the tech industry.
- Green Transition Handbook: To support the sustainable evolution of VET organizations, we're creating a Green Transition Handbook. This guide will equip VET schools with actionable strategies to integrate sustainable practices and green strategies into their curricula, fostering a shift towards a greener VET sector.
