International cooperation between the CoVEs is a must

Here is the continuation of the article from 27.08.2024. The basis of the InvesTech project is the creation and formalization of a suitable model for the five national CoVEs centres. A structure will be designed and defined roles, tasks and responsibilities of each direct actor or stakeholder as well as the decision-making processes and accountability mechanisms for each national CoVE. The management structure should be tailored to the specific needs, existing structures and characteristics, taking into account the local context and legal requirements in each country. This structure has to be based on the existing regional networks and PPP, as well as on a common Model of Agreement developed under the project.

Furthermore, the project envisages carrying out a number of activities to develop a sustainable environment for international cooperation between the COVEs, what includes:

  • transnational platform to enable effective and long-term cooperation between CoVEs and relevant stakeholders;
  • strong connections and synergies of the five COVEs with others from all over Europe;
  • transnational transfer and use of expertise and good practices for building partnerships and cooperation;
  • research and use of European financial instruments.

At the core of this environment will be the envisaged online portal, which should facilitate collaboration and information sharing between the partners and stakeholders of the developed CoVEs. The launch of the portal requires consultation with all partners and stakeholders, discussion and definition of the functionalities and tools that will be built into it and testing before its official launch. The portal will be designed to promote international cooperation between CoVEs and create a sustainable network for vocational education and training at an international level. It will be a key component for the sustainability of CoVE and will encourage the development of international partnerships and collaborations.

It is important also to mention here that the project envisages two more important activities as elements of this package:

1. joining the ENE European Network of Excellence, an international network of centres of professional excellence (CoVE) in EU neighbouring countries.

2. Signing the European Pact for Skills, which is an initiative of the European Commission aimed at mobilizing stakeholders to invest in skills and create a more inclusive and sustainable labour market. By this signing, project partners commit to work together and implement activities to improve skills development, address skills mismatches and promote upskilling and reskilling.
