The visit to Singapore was a success!

The visit to Singapore was a success!

Mission Singapore! Thus we called our business visit to Singapore on 16-20 October 2022, which our Smart City Tech Partnership has been hard at organizing for the past 2-3 months.

Being responsible for the implementation of this task, laid down in the Project eT4S Cluster Sofia city of knowledge together with its partners managed to provide a combined program, which in the end was successfully implemented and with good results, which our members and partners can benefit. The mission included:

  • Participation in Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC (ITAP) - a spectacular technological exhibition with forums, which demonstrates to us the Industry 4.0 progress of the companies.
  • Participation in an international meeting to create partnerships between companies and clusters from Europe and Singapore (EU-Singapore Matchmaking Event), organized by the European Cluster Cooperation Platform (ECCP).
  • Meeting with EU-Singapore Matchmaking Event, SpanishCham SG and CEEC Singapore;
  • Meetings hosted by AMEC Urbis with SGTech - Singapore's leading technology industry trade association with over 1,000 members and the Land Transport Authority (LTA) - a government agency that plans, designs, builds and maintains Singapore's land transport infrastructure and systems.

The mission was attended by 14 representatives from the partnership members - Cluster Sofia Knowledge City, Green Hub Denmark, Gaia Cluster Spain, Digital Knowledge Observatory Foundation Poland and AMEC Spain. Stanislav Chervenkov, Dimitar Hristov, Vencislava Dacheva and Dimitar Filipov participated in the mission from CSKC, respectively representing four of the members of the cluster: CEED Bulgaria, HIRON - Innovation Management, Paralax Life Sciences and Blue Strategy.

We spent several intensive days getting a lot of information and looking for actions to #cooperate with the Asian country. The mission started on Monday (17.10.2022) with a friendly meeting with the representative of the Spanish ACCIÓ - Agency for the Competitiveness of the Company, who welcomed us and introduced us to the opportunities that may arise in #Singapore and the characteristics of this market. Later that day, we held a meeting with EuroCham Singapore, CEEC Singapore and SpanishCham SG, where we were able to learn from the experiences of companies established in this country and operating in various sectors. Afterwards, we had the opportunity to interact with the participants and have interesting conversations.

During the next three days until October 20, we took part in the program of the European Cluster Cooperation Platform (ECCP). We visited the ITAP exhibition where we met dozens of exhibitors and their products and services, mainly in such areas as Digital Tweens, IoT, Smart Technologies, Application Engineering, Electronics, Business Development, Software Solutions, etc. We had the opportunity to discuss the signing of cooperation agreements with several organizations, including an organization representing a small town in Japan close to Tokyo, meet with delegations from #India and #Malaysia and learn more about the Singapore market thanks to several presentations. Each one of our delegation held meetings at the exhibition itself, and those who were also members of the European delegation visited #JurongInnovationDistrict, Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Center (ARTC) and Singapore Polytechnic.

We can make the final conclusion that our mission was very successful and, if interested and willing, the members of the cluster, as well as all stakeholders and partners from Bulgaria and from our EU partnership, can benefit long-term from the contacts made and from the experience, information and knowledge gained.
