Open innovation on focus

The representative of Cluster Sofia Knowledge City (CSKC) - Adelina Hristova - took part in two important events for the cluster in London on 25-26 April 2018: 1. Chief Innovation Officer Summit 2018 and 2. Оpen Innovation Summit 2018.

The events gathered business representatives, chief innovation officers, heads of innovation in large companies, and technology companies specializing in innovation management software and ideas generation in organizations, with discussions on how organizations can improve their innovation culture and approach to innovation.

The main topics discussed at the Chief Innovation Officer Summit were the following: Partnerships and labs to accelerate innovation; Startups and corporations: Innovative collaboration; Artificial Intelligence and New Technology for Innovation; Managing and motivating the innovation team.

As part of the Open Innovation Summit the following topics were covered: Fostering a start-up ecosystem for fearless innovation and rapid intellectual growth; Democratising innovation: crowd innovation; Using design thinking to engage consumers in co-innovation; Establishing mechanisms for cooperation across industries to improve the R&D efficiency.

Also, along with the events, there was an exhibition of companies demonstrating solutions for the business sector to accelerate the introduction of innovation culture in enterprises through design thinking, gamification, innovation management and idea generation software, open innovation, applications, virtual reality, etc.

The two events showcase that software developers are focusing even more attention to the software solutions supporting the transformation process of information into knowledge and knowledge into innovation
