Erasmus+ Transnational meeting in Krems

On 12.07.2022 at IMC University of Applied Science in Krems, Austria, a transnational project meeting was held with participants from the all partners in the Project "Smart Skills for Smarter Cities" - an Erasums+ Project No. 2020-1-BG01-KA202-079071. Welcome to the virtual IMC Krems! The meeting was hosted by Michael Reiner, who is a Managing Director of ECQA GmbH and Professor Department of Business at Institute Digitalisation and Informatics at IMC. ECQA is an expert organization in certifying job roles and providing exams (online and on premise) for other organizations. The main task of the meeting was to disscuss and evaluate the first interim project result “Toolkit for smart city competences framework”.

An update of the analysis of the conducted online survey on smart city professions was also shared during this meeting.

Michael Reiner presented the work plan for developing the "Validation tools for smart city competencies" - toolkit for validating competencies for three new professions for smart cities: "Smart City Project Developer", "Smart City Project Manager", "Smart City Project Management Consultant".

The participants from Cluster Sofia Knowledge City - Bulgaria, ULSIT - Bulgaria, GAIA - Spain and ECQA - Austria visited the eVRyLab (Digital Simulation Lab) in IMC where they were introduced to the topic of virtual reality (VR) and participated in a VR simulation. With the eVRyLab, the IMC FH Krems has succeeded in creating a highlight in the field of movement in virtual space and thus becoming a pioneer in digitization in Lower Austria. The eVRyLab is part of the IMC University. 

An interesting project for smart city as a service was also presented to the participants by Ruben Ruiz Torrubiano, who leads this project in the IMC University. The oportunities to share knowledge and results of these two projetcs were disscused.
